Join us for a day of immersive K-9 training at the All Things K-9 course, led by renowned K-9 handler and instructor Josh Brainard. Whether you’re a current K-9 handler, a supervisor seeking to support your unit more effectively, or an officer aspiring to join a K-9 team, this course offers invaluable insights into the potential and capabilities of police working dogs.
Throughout the day, attendees will explore the many applications of K-9s in law enforcement, including narcotics sniffs of vehicles, currency, parcels, buildings, and open areas. You’ll also learn about the use of K-9s in high-risk vehicle stops, tracking, trailing, and open area searches for suspects, as well as the importance of perimeters for containment and collecting and preserving scent evidence.
Instructor Brainard will present real deployment videos to illustrate how K-9 teams have located suspects and seized narcotics in the field. With a fresh perspective and deeper understanding of all things K-9, attendees will leave this course better equipped to interact more efficiently alongside K-9 teams and prevent liability against their units.
