Course Description:
The Basic Tactical Medical Instructor Training Program (BTMITP) is an intensive three-day course designed to train law enforcement officers in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), a critical skill set for managing life-threatening injuries in high-threat environments. This program combines lectures, lab work, and practical skills practice, focusing on treating severe injuries with limited equipment and support. It adheres to the DHS Care Under Fire Education Standards and equips participants to deliver basic, civilianized TCCC life-saving skills.

Physical Requirements:
Participants should be prepared for physically demanding activities and must be able to crawl, kneel, and bend over. The training involves practical exercises that may lead to clothing damage, so appropriate attire is required.
Attire and Equipment:
- Attire: Durable clothing appropriate for physical activity (e.g., BDU pants, t-shirts) and closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
- Equipment: Participants should bring a water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, long sleeve shirts, and duty leather/web gear.
