This specialized law enforcement training day, provided at no cost, concentrates on the intersection of medical cannabis laws and search and seizure procedures. The comprehensive training includes three pivotal segments:

  1. LEPS Training: Understand the importance of annual in-service training hours, the consequences of non-compliance, and methods to become and remain a certified law enforcement instructor.
  2. Search and Seizure: Dive into detailed discussions on search and seizure related specifically to medical cannabis, informed by current case law in West Virginia.
  3. Medical Cannabis Law: Explore the rapidly evolving legal landscape of medical cannabis to ensure up-to-date enforcement and regulatory compliance.
