Detective Division

Officers assigned to the detective division are selected based on their investigative skills, training, desire, and work ethic. The St. Albans Police Department currently has (6) six officers assigned to the Detective Division. The Chief of Detectives supervises and oversees all investigations. There is a Lieutenant, Sergeant, and four investigators. Three (3) officers work in the Special Enforcement Unit, one (1) officer assigned to Kanawha Bureau of Investigations (KBI), one (1) officer assigned to Metro Drug Enforcement Unit (MDENT), one (1) officer assigned to DEA HIDTA task force. ​
