The St. Albans Police Department and the St. Albans Fire Department have partnered with the St. Albans On Purpose Project for the 2nd Annual First Responder Disability Awareness Event. This event is free and open to the public. It will take place on August 5th from 6-8 pm at The Loop in St. Albans.

The First Responder Event is an excellent opportunity for parents and caregivers who care for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities to interact with first responders in a relaxed setting. This event will help to increase communication and decrease the possibility of negative encounters in emergencies.
