Course Overview:

Join us for an immersive and comprehensive 4-day training program designed to prepare Public Safety personnel for the implementation of a UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) or drone program within their agency. This course is also tailored to equip participants with the knowledge required to sit for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Exam, a prerequisite for operating a public safety UAS program in West Virginia.

Training Structure:

  • Days 1-3 (Classroom Study): Engage in three eight-hour days of intensive classroom learning, covering all the essential aspects of UAS operations, regulations, and best practices.
  • Day 4 (Hands-On Flight Training): Participate in an eight-hour session of practical flight training, using aircraft models similar to those used in actual field operations. This hands-on experience is crucial for understanding the real-world application of UAS technology in public safety scenarios.
