Attention all law enforcement professionals! Do you want to learn how to effectively manage a homicide or suspicious death scene? Join the nationally recognized training program endorsed by law enforcement regional training academies, state agencies, and associations nationwide – Inside the Tape Training.
The Saint Albans Police Department is proud to host the Inside the Tape Training program on May 31, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 613 MacCorkle Avenue in Saint Albans, WV 25177. This one-day training program is specifically designed to train patrol supervisors, officers, and other first responders on how to approach and manage a homicide or suspicious death scene prior to the arrival of scene investigators.
Led by retired Investigator David Newman from the Norfolk Police Department in Virginia, this training program will cover various topics such as initial scene assessment, scene preservation, documentation, and accountability, as well as handling circumstantial evidence during cursory searching. The program also includes specialized topics such as responding to suicide scenes, infant homicide scenes, and SIDS.
