Humane Officer Tarayn Sears
“As the Humane Officer for the city of St Albans, I’m dedicated to protecting the well-being of animals and supporting the people who care for them. My role focuses on education, compassion, and community connection—ensuring that animals are treated with kindness and respect while helping families access the resources they need. I believe that being a humane officer is not just about enforcement, but about building trust and making a positive difference. Every case is an opportunity to advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves and to strengthen the bond between people and animals. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with the people and animals I love, gardening, baking, reading, and crafting, which fuels my passion for creating a more humane world. “
