Course Description:
This nationally recognized 3-day training program is designed for law enforcement professionals including detectives, prosecutors, coroners, and medical examiners. Presented by the St. Albans Police Department, the program focuses on various aspects of homicide investigation and crime scene management. Participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes development of management models, application of scientific methods, crime scene protocol, victimology, and forensic disciplines among other advanced topics.

Course Objectives:

  • Develop advanced crime scene management protocols.
  • Apply scientific methods to enhance investigative processes.
  • Understand and implement effective crime scene evaluation techniques.
  • Utilize forensic science to establish motives and methods of operation.
  • Enhance skills in cold case investigations and equivocal death analysis.

With over 25 years of experience in homicide and forensics, Investigator Newman brings extensive practical knowledge to the training program. His background includes teaching at various institutions and providing expert testimony in court.
